So what does the Bible say about infidelity and adultery?
In recent statistics, over 55% of men and women have confessed to committing adultery in their marriage. With infidelity statistics like these, it is quite clear as to why we are seeing more and more marriages ending in divorce.
There are experts that believe that the occurrences of infidelity in marriage are much higher but there are plenty of people that will not admit to such acts, even in anonymous surveys. Why is cheating becoming more main stream?
Are our values as a society changing? Are our morals gone?
So just what does the bible say about infidelity?
I have put together a list of bible verses about cheating, adultery and infidelity. Some of them are more direct than others. After reading them, please chime in by leaving a comment or you may contact me directly using the Contact Me form.
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.
1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes;
For the price of a prostitute is only a loaf of bread, but a married woman hunts down a precious life.
Because he has despised the word of the Lord and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.”
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

any particular one that you liked the most? I know which one I like but
I am interested to know your thoughts.
This list is just the beginning. With your help, I would like to add other intriguing verses that are related to cheating. It is my opinion that the further away we get as society from religion the higher the occurrences of infidelity will be.
